Hi,
I’ve just ordered this bike for my daily 15 mile commute. Can anyone give me a heads up regarding reliability/quality of this scooter if you have one. Thanks
Im not sure but if its similar to the harrier or matrix (I cant see it beeing too different) then it should be a pretty solid bike
Hi dje,
Just ordered my Shuttle yesterday so will be interested to hear how you find yours.
Wrote off my Matrix II last month and as I had no problems (after 3.5 years of solid performance) up until the accident, I went with another Sinnis this time around. (The insurance payout meant I couldn’t afford much more in a hurry!)
Fingers crossed!
We haven’t had many Shuttle riders on the forum so it’s good to have two in a row! They look like nice little scoots, maybe you could give us some pictures when that shiny new shuttle comes
I’ve been using the scooter for a week and it’s doing exactly what I got it for. It goes along nicely at 4k -5k revs per minute doing 35-40mph. Going to run it in gently and time will tell how reliable it will be, but for a 15 mile commute, if it lasts the 2 year parts warranty it will be worth the £999 OTR price from Motorbike Warehouse.
They’re basically the same as a Lexmoto Gladiator, just with a different body. Check some reviews on those as they’ve been out longer.
Ordered my blue one can anyone give a little review on this maybe? Looks good never owned a Sinnis to be honest.
I’ve put a few words under the topic “Rotund middle-aged guy on a Sinnis Shuttle ”
It will be getting its first service in the next few days – I’ll update then.
Just completed the first service and on the whole am quite happy with it.
The reason why I say “On the Whole” is as follows:
Having driven a Matrix for nearly 4 years, I’m familiar with the Sinnis brand and was hoping the two models would be comparable but with the Matrix being a few hundred more pricey, you’d expect the Shuttle to fall a little short. And it did…
Nothing serious, just little things:
– Even though the specs are similar, it just doesn’t feel as powerful. Used to get the Matrix up to 58mph, the Shuttle only manages 53 on a good day.
– Weather seems to affect performance more. (Did have the engine cut on me because I got stuck at a junction too long and took me a couple of mins to get it running again).
– Sliding the key into the ignition and the seat storage slots is a little harder than I’m used to.
– If you take a corner too sharply, the bottom of the front fork scrapes the ground.
– The seat doesn’t stay up by itself so you have to wedge it against the steering and the steering has now created a little hole in the seat
Like I said – just little things and if I hadn’t previously had the Matrix I probably wouldn’t have even noticed the above stuff.
Only one repair to date (under warranty) is the headlight switch became faulty such that it wouldn’t change the headlight to full beam and getting it to stay on standard beam became increasingly difficult (kept flickering).
I think this is a case of getting what you pay for and I’m happy that I’m back on the road again with something that can handle all the local hills and speed bumps!
Hopefully nothing beyond the light switch will go wrong and with the weather warming up now, I’m hoping it’ll play nicer!
I’ll keep y’all informed of progress once I hit 2nd service!
Cheers!

Hi all new here
av had my shuttle for the last 5 weeks I have done 890kms already and made up with it cheap as chips to buy cheap as cheaps to run,
I am hitting speeds of around 56mph on a bad day but I do mostly get 62mph on good days and am 15stone aswell.
would like to de restrict it it anyone know how and stick a nice can on it.
I just bought a Shuttle will it be restricted? I have a full bike licence. Is it easy to redistricting? Maybe I should ask the dealer…
Steve
If it’s a 125cc, it won’t be restricted in any way. Sticking a different can won’t affect performance, that only works with a 2 stroke. Only the 50cc scooters will have a restricted because they’re mainly ridden by 16 year olds.
